Workshops on designing 2D assets (characters and backgrounds) for medium- and high-budget animated productions. The workshops will familiarise participants with the principles of character and layout design that will capture the spirit of the film story, be interesting and intriguing, while clearly communicating emotions and facilitating the work of animators. During the four days of meetings, participants will go through the entire design process, from preliminary sketches to finalised designs of basic layouts and characters – their rotations, emotional states and lip-sync.

The Animated Film Studio is one of the leading educational studios in the field of animation in Poland. Its program is progressive, focusing on the originality and artistic potential of students. We primarily create author-driven projects, but we also teach the importance of teamwork.
The curriculum covers all aspects of film production — from scriptwriting, storyboarding, shooting, and editing to sound design and music. We provide training in all animation techniques: traditional, digital, 2D, 3D, as well as spatial and stop-motion animation.
Classes are accompanied by lectures and specialized workshops in film theory and history, sound, music, editing, and film production. The specialized path allows students to create a graduation film, which serves as their artistic debut.
We collaborate with composers, sound designers, editors, and cinematographers, and students have access to a professional sound studio and a motion capture studio.
